Possesses the psionic ability to manipulate the weather over the entire planet on a cosmic scale, but chooses not to because she environmentally conscious. She is one of the most powerful beings on the planet.
Hurricanes/Tornadoes, Cyclones
She can form hurricanes, Tornadoes, Cyclones out of nowhere and can also stop them, she has complete control over natural Wind too.
Wind Telekinesis
She can use her ability to manipulate wind in a manner that resembles telekinesis, lifting massive objects and hurling them against opponents. She has even been known to stop projectiles such as bullets by using her ability to manipulate the wind.
Flight
Storm can fly through the air by causing herself to be supported and propelled by wind currents. Storm can thus travel as fast as any wind can, and has reached speeds up to 300 miles per hour. Her power over the atmosphere enables her to breathe at any speed, protect her from air friction.
Rain/Hail and Sleet
She can create and control all forms of rain, hail, and sleet, making it a light shower to a catastrophic flood, in a hug aread or small one blocking some sections.
Snow and Fog
She can create and control Blizzards, and the the moisture aorund bringing instant snow or fog clouding herself or other places in a foggy blanket the thickness ranges.
Temperature Control
Ability to change her internal and external body temperature to match that of the current outside atmosphere, so that she wont suffer any ill effects from the change of atmosphere. The ability is involuntary and natural.Though somewhat limited. This also ranged to the tempurature outside.
Lightning Channeling
She can create lightening and other electrical atmospheric phenomena either by calling down lightning from the sky or directly from her hands.
Shields
She can also generate electric fields, magnetic fields, high-density pressure fields, and even electromagnetic fields.
Turbulence/Flares
Storm has been known to create cosmic turbulence when a Sentinel was about to affect the Earth with a gamma gun to draw a solar flare from the sun to the Earth.
Telepathic Defences
She also has some minor telepathic defenses (creating intense electrical currents and indestructable pressure domes that can cut through a mountain).
Visual Perception
Storm can alter her visual perseptions so as to see electrical energy patterns in an object and in the air.
Power Draining
She can also change the body temperature of anyone by manipulating that temperature and lowering it or raising it. That gives her the stunning ability to drain the electrical energy from mutants brainwaves that will literally cause them to lose power.
Weather Prediction
Storm has the added ability to know the patterns of weather by instinct so that any given time, she can predict the weather on any planet she is on.
Sorcery
Storm is able to cast and counteract spells and heal, teleport, astral travel, shield, transform matter and fire eldritch energy because of her heritage as a white-haired, blue eyed priestess.
History/Background:
Ororo Munroe is the daughter of David Munroe, a photo-journalist from New York, and N’Dare, a princess from a Kenyan tribe. Several of N’Dare’s female ancestors displayed white hair, blue eyes and unusual facial features, though it is unknown exactly who or how many of them did so. While it is clear that N’Dare apparently didn’t, her daughter, Ororo, did manifest those physical traits.
When Ororo was six months old, one of David’s assignments took the family from Harlem to Cairo, Egypt, where they would stay for the next years. In her earliest childhood, N’Dare showed her daughter a special ruby-crystal that had been in their family for a long time.
During an Israeli-Arab conflict, a plane crashed into the Munroes’ house. Her parents died, while Ororo, ca 5-6 years old at the time, was trapped besides her dead mother in the rubble, resulting in a severe case of claustrophobia that Ororo suffers from to the present day.
Somehow, the child managed to dig herself out, apparently taking her mother’s ruby with her. Alone in the city, she was eventually found by some street urchins who brought her to their master, Achmed-El Gibar, a kind of Fagin, who gave children a home and trained them as thieves. Within a year, Ororo was trained to be a beggar. Within another, she became an excellent pickpocket and thief.
During that time, Ororo picked the pocket of an American tourist, one Charles Xavier. The man noticed her, used his powers to stop her in her tracks and examined her. However, at that moment, he was mentally attacked by Amahl Farouk – the Shadow King - and Ororo escaped.
Itching to prove her skills as a thief, Ororo also stole another rare ruby-colored gem, the so-called “heart of eternal darkness.” She did so against Achmed-El Gibar’s direct orders. Only later, it would be discovered that the stone contained the essence of the immortal mutant Candra.
When she was about twelve, Ororo felt the irresistible urge to wander southwards and left Cairo. During that trip, she naively trusted a man who offered her a ride and was almost raped, before she killed him with her knife. As a result, she swore never to take another human life.
Ororo wandered for one year, crossing two thousand miles and nearly died on her trek through the Sahara desert. Along the journey, she discovered her emerging power to control the weather. Shortly afterwards, she witnessed how South-Africans, under the leadership of Andreas de Ruyter, were trying to kidnap Prince T’Challa of Wakanda, a young boy barely older than she, to use him as a hostage against his father. She managed to help the youth to escape. They journeyed together for some time and, while they grew very attracted to one another, T’Challa’s duty and Ororo’s dream pulled them in different directions.
Ororo arrived on the Serengeti Plain in Kenya and made her home there. There, she called out to her goddess and was answered with the sight of a shining figure of a woman, who resembled her.
Ororo herself was adopted as a goddess of life by the local tribes, whom she helped, however she could, with her powers. However, she discovered that the weather reacted to her emotional state thus, to protect the people around her, she detached herself from stronger emotions as far as possible.
