The war against Apocalypse had been won, Dark Phoenix had been beaten, and the Shi'Ar had all been worked out. After the amount of stress Xavier, Jean, Storm and all others in charge, they fell back in the ranks, making other people in charge. One that rose through this was Alison Blaire.
She made a new team of mutants, re-naming them the X-Men in memory of the old team. The Brotherhood had gone quiet for a while, only to reappear with their new leader. Mystique. Since then, nothing has been the same!
