[Iron Man]

Hey guys, I have an idea for the Old Friend: New Arrival thread, inspired by Mimic's post. Mimic is hunting the remaining New Warriors; perhaps Iron Man could realise he needs back-up and sends a task force to assist him with Firestar and Justice, only to butt heads with a resistance force trying to recruit them. If everyone likes the idea and Cap gives us the okay, I don't think the leaders (Cap and Iron Man) should go as we don't want a meeting between the two yet.

I like the idea. It would finally give the opposing sides a chance to fight each other.

Good idea. Two ways to work it; if you wait just a bit I can gather a better sized resistance group.

The alternative is that we could tie this in with 'The Search for Captain America'- Multiple Man, Cap, Doc Strange, Hawkeye and Daredevil (my current Resistance) butt heads with Iron Man, Ms Marvel, Mimic, Spider-Woman and Yellowjacket? Cap and IM can't battle yet of course. Remember, as of this stage the Registration Act is a day or two from passing and THEORETICALLY the real war is yet to begin.

I think we should hold off on any encounters until after the Act has passed. If we fight before that, it'll just seem...I don't know. My reasoning is that after the Act has passed, all hell breaks loose, and then the sides fight.

Well the Act HAS passed. It comes into effect as of tonight. Which is why I say:

Tony and Yellowjacket agree to help Mimic send a team, but they, by law, can't, until after the Act is passed.

The Resistance go off and solve the Hawkeye problem (which we are about to do) and by the time they are finished- act passed.

It makes sense to tie it into what we are doing but, If we wait it'll be just as good so its your call Captain.

Okay. So after they get back from, ahem, parts unknown (see: cosmic forces, blah blah blah), they'll appear in Manhattan just after the Act was passed - just in time to be spotted by the Pro-supporters.

after we get done with our little escapade that would be fitting.

Is it ok if Pete Wisdom joins the old friend New arrival thread. originally I was over here with Captain Britain to recruit heroes for New excalibur as the other members became Anti reg but he's been put up for adoption. Can Pete offer his services to Iron man helping to hunt the rogue heroes in exchange for some new excalibur recruits but get embroiled into fighting the civil war in the US?

plan update: any chance we can have a rogue SHIELD group that we can all use in storylines ?? similar to the one that appeared in 616 new avengers. they could be a bit to enthusiastic about the DEAD or alive policy!
