"Wolverine flank right, Cage flank left, Cable restrain him telekinetically." Captain America wiped the blood from his lip; as Mimic strained under Cables grip, "think fast which power can help now" Mimic thought to himself Colossus has strenght but not speed but Cable seemed to be supressing his ability to access his powers. Captain America pulled back his arm and launched his shield catching Mimic square in the chest sending him flying to the ground. Wolverine pounced unsheathing his claws, and then the world dissolved.

"Looks like your not ready for the big boys then, Calvin." sneered Agent Hill as she terminated the simuluation.
"Yeah like to see you take on these guys hill you'd be decorating logans claws by now" Mimic knew it was a bad idea to start with these four but the goverment was worrie and at the moment thats all that counted.

"Well the good news for you is that weve got something else to start you off with call it a rescue/recruitment misssion if you will" Mimic hated working with Hill she was too severe now Val Cooper on the other hand well she helped him out of a bad patch.

"Rescue mission, who the hell would let me rescue them last time i was out in the real world people didnt exactly trust me you know."
"Get moving the files in your room and you leave in two hours" Hill spat the words down the speaker.

"Hill, answer me, who is it?" ...But it was too late she had already left her booth.

After a quick shower and change of clothes Mimic opened the file that had been left on the bed and read the names: Bandit-Chicago, Hybrid-Brooklyn, Aegis-Brooklyn, Powerpax-New York, Turbo & Darkhawk-Los Angeles, Firestar-Unknown.

Mimic sat with his head in his hands, New Warriors, they're all connected to the new warriors. This mission had to be quick- one of their own had tried to reveal their names in some crazy idea about people leaving them alone and word had it that perhaps one of the stamford crew had survived but that was just a rumour. Either way he had a mission to complete. Mimic picked up the phone in his room dialled the transport division and requested a transporter......................

Five hours later.....

The sheild Transporter set down in chicago agent Hill looked him in the eye and smiled "well Convict that band you got on your arm is a tracker so dont think of runningbecause we'll find you." Mimic looked at his arm and smirked "run?" he thought to himself "Where on earth would i run to exactly?"

Mimic grabbed his jacket off the back of the chair and jumped out of the transporter "Two hours Hill thats all i'll need got the boys scent cant be that hard to find him."

One hour and forty five minutes later...

"Oh come on kid the leg cant be that bad!" Mimic's own injuries stang but fortunately Wolverines healing factor was kicking in.
"Didint see you get shot in the leg dude" Bandits leg was bleeding, a lot, particularly being that the bullet had grazed his leg.

"Well how the heck was i supposed to know that an Anti New Warriors Group was camping outside your door came in through the window remember." It had felt good doing that being the hero again even if it had gone very wrong very quickly. Suddenly the wind became a gale as the SHIELD transporter landed and Mimic quickly bundled the boy inside just as the Mob rounded the corner.

Fifteen minutes later...

"Ow not so tight nnngh, so.. how did you find me anyway, i been laying low since Stamford!" Bandit was a lot more relaxed now he knew he was far from the madding crowd.

"Bella-Donna, SHIELD raided the guild in Old Orleans and found some of your stuff there, that girl really hates you, you know that right?" Mimic grinned he knew his fair share of women who hated him as well. "Anyway i mimicked Wolverines powers nd used his hightened sense of smell to follow your scent around Chicago." Mimic was quite pleased with this it had taken him ages to learn how to seperate different scents.

"Well Mimic, looks like this just became a race, quite the mob chasing you two back there!" Hill was impressed how quickly Mimic had found the boy but not so impressed with the boy being injured. "So Mr Bandit feel like giving us some details about now, real name only please try to remember we saved your life." Bandit took the clipboard and filled out the information.

Location: Brooklyn

"So any sign of a big mob waving pitchforks?" Mimic wasnt impressed, the intel provided by the now hospitalised Speedball regarding Aegis was vague he has a kid who still attended school; and the description of his appearence could be anyone within a five block radius.

"Less of the sarcasm Mimic, whats the matter none of those powers you mimicked helping you?" Hills patience was strained this whole situation had gotten out of control heroes going rogue villains working for the goverment, Nick wouldn't have had this trouble.

"Well, lets see at the moment their about as much use as all your fancy computers" suddenly a deafening blast rushed over him Mimic searched aound for the source and headed towards the now visible plume of smoke.

When he reached the source of the disturbance standing in the middle of the rubble was a boy holding in his arms.. spiderman? no wait Carnage? "Hill what info have you got on the Carnage Symbiote?"

"Last i saw he was being dragged inhto space by Sentry who later ripped him in two so im guessing dead, why?"

"Because i've found Aegis and he's holding an unconcious Carnage in his hands, care to explain" well this was a turn up for the books but wouldnt be the first time someone came back from the dead.
"Wait did you say Carnage? hold on a second..... yeah photo files indicate Hybrid is similar in appearance to Carnage looks like you just got two for the price of one."

Mimic landed amongst the rubble checking to see if any other danger was present, "Aegis?" suddenly he was struck by an invicible force which knocked him to the ground, great twice in two days and this time by a rookie. "Aegis im here to help im from SH.." smack, another blow forced him deeper into the ground.
"Liar, leave us alone." Aegis was visibly shaken but his control over his power was very solid.

Mimic tried to move but Aegis had pinned, think dammit fifteen x-men powers which one to use, ah right focus and "BAMF" Mimic suddenly appeared behind Aegis and punched the boy in the back of the head, dirty but necessary, as the boy fell to the ground Mimic grabbed the breastplate and yanked it off him.
Suddenly he was aware of cheering he looked up and saw the crowd emerging through the smoke "Hill get a Transport here right now we've got company" at his feet Aegis was stirring, "for your own sake kid stay still."

"Transport on route Cal keep those two safe!" Hill's voice sounded strained she knew there could be trouble.

"Finish them!" shouted a voice in the crowd "it's what they deserve, childkillers!" 'mmm two guesses where the explosion came from' thought Mimic. "Aegis," whispered Mimic "I really am here to help you, now very slowly get behind me and grab hybrid, im assuming thats him right?"

"Yes sir." the look on Aegis' face had changed dramatically without the breastplate he was just a defensless kid, Mimic briefly got lost in thought 'god was I ever that young?' he was shaken from this thought as a glass bottle landed inches from his feet.

"Ladies and gentlemen" Mimic shouted over the growing crowd "By the authority of S.H.E.I.L.D. I am taking these children into custody, they are not to be harmed!" SMASH another bottle landed next to the prone body of Hybrid. "Please move away from the area and cease all hostilities." Someone in the crowd threw a plank of wood picked out of the debris of the house, 'to hell with this this' thought Mimic and with lightning speed used his 'ice powers' to erect an ice wall around the three of them.

After five minutes of fixing gaps in the wall and telekinetically holding the thing in place the S.H.I.E.L.D. transport arrived and everything outside suddently went very quiet. Mimic focused and "BAMF" the three of them were on the transporter all exceptionally week "dont know how he does it Hill only tried it twice and I'm exhausted."

"Not good news I'm afraid, Hybrid is actually in a coma, whats the matter Cal can't you bring anyone back in one piece?" Mimic knew she was joking he had gotten more done in 24hours than they had in three days so they had to be impressed.

"Yeah well they're safe, well as safe as you can be on this flying death-trap so you get the names?"

"Sure did have a look hunter." Hill smilied as she slid the file over the desk Mimic looked down at the names.

"So anyway your next rescue is a tough one, we dont actually have any intel on a location this ones managed so stay under our radar." This was very unlike Hill to leave things to chance.
"Smart kid, ok give me thirty minutes, a jug of coffee, and a phone" Mimic leaned back in his chair and grinned nobody gets away that easy.

" So who is it then? who has managed to avoid the gaze of the mighty S.H.E.I.L.D.?" Mimic enjoyed mocking the system especially when the system was messing him around.
