The Super-Human Defence Team known as the Avengers disbanded today following more than eight years of dedicated Service. The Avengers, who have saved the world from such threats as the warlord Kang the Conqueror, have announced their intention to go their seperate ways.
In a press statement, the Team's leader, Captain America, made the following announcement:
Thanks to events which we should have foreseen, a tragedy has been allowed to occur. We have lost three members- the Android Vision, the hero known as Ant-Man, and also one of our oldest members- Hawkeye. We feel it is best for the world if we disassemble and go our seperate ways.
Rumors abound that one of the Avengers' members betrayed them, but the Avengers refused to comment. Senior Avenger Tony Stark, known as Iron Man, has been forced to resign as Secretary of Defence thanks to the recent contraversy. It is known that the former Terrorist known as Scarlet Witch has not been seen since the incident.
One thing is certain; the Avengers are no more. I'm Boaz Eschelmen, and this is RVN.
