A New Home

[Captain America]

Captain America exhaled loudly as he depressed the switch which opened the doors of the old building... to expose the massive wareheouse inside. He and Doctor Strange had been hiding underground for two days, but then he had made contact with Nick Fury and established the location of this SHIELD Safehouse... known only to 33rd degree SHIELD officers.

So that was Nick then.

"It'll do." he said, grinning to Doctor Strange. In truth, it was perfect. a huge complex, some equipment and vehicles, state of the art systems... this would put them some way towards making the contest more even.

Cap had no real plans in mind other than a vague notion of gathering a resistance so they could continue super-heroing, and saving any heroes arrested by the government. He suspected it would come to conflict with Tony's heroes, but he hoped to avoid that. For now.

And the first thing necessary was to build his team. "Well." He said after a moment. "Let's get started."

[Human Torch]

Johnny nodded as he walked up to both the Captain and Doctor Strange.

"The only question is...where do we start?" Johnny said.

"Whose left to pick up?"

[Hawkeye]

With a look around at the facility chosen by Captain America, Clint decieded that this was the safest place as any other could be. "Well Johny we will recruit more heros I would think. I mean the six of us are a pretty formidable group but, the more superheros we have the better. I think we need a plan. Also were is that chump Matt Murdock? I haven't seen him since He was let out and I stopped playing daredevil. We've got some catching up to do, as well as with you Steve." for the first time since Clint had been brought back to life he felt truly happy; even in a grim situation such as this.

Hawkeye was ready....ready for anything, with his best friend around He thought they could take on anything Ironman and the pro registration act could throw at them.

Johnny agreed completely with Clint. He nodded and sat with the group.

"We need to figure out what Tony has been up to lately. It's been to quiet since the big meeting at Stark. Also, we should have someone drop by the X-Mansion. There should be a few stragglers there. I'd be happy to go. It's up to you Cap," Johnny said glancing toward the Captain.

[Captain America]

Cap considered for a moment. He looked around at the others. "Clint, I know you have catching up to do, but we can't afford to waste ANY time here- we only have a limited number of days before Registration is law and then that's it; this is gonna burst into real conflict."

He turned to look at Johnny. "I have quite a few heroes in mind, but short term I have a different idea." He exchanged a glance with Strange. "Before we found you, Stephen and I heard where the Vulture and some other criminals are hiding out. We think they may have information that could be important to us. After we get THAT, we can act on recruitment." He hoped the X-Men would help them, though he wasn't sure. After all, the world hated and feared them now more than ever after M-Day.

"So when do we go?" Madrox spoke up he hadn't voiced his thoughts yet. "And where do we go, do we all go and what are we facing?" Madrox took a small ball from his pocket and started chucking it in the air, Madrox was looking forward to a good fight especially agains the pro's he supposed it was inevitable, thats one thing to look forward to.

[Human Torch]

Johnny stared at the Vulture and a devilish grin spread across his face. Whenever he heard about the Vulture's escapades, Johnny always wished he'd be the one to stop him. This was his chance.

"Hey, Cap. I'd be happy to interrogate the little birdy."

[Hawkeye]

Clint had been thinking about what cap said about the vulture and he thought it was as good as starting place as ever. "I think that would be a good place to start. I mean who knows more than second rate villians trying to be important swimming in a big time pond."

[Human Torch]

Johnny nodded at Clint's response. He turned to question the Captain.

"It's up to you. Just give me the word?"

[Hawkeye]

"Johny how are things going with Invisible women?" Clint asked "She would be a valuable asset to the team and she's a fox." There might be a war coming but Clint Barton wouldn't be himself if he didn't try to sway his female companions.

[Human Torch]

"She's a bit torn, of course. Reed's her husband, but I don't think things are as strong as they were before. I'm pretty sure I already convinced her yesterday. She doesn't support the Act, and I think once she realizes that Reed is more focused on the Act and work then her, she'll come on over."

He looked toward the Vulture with distaste and turned back to Clint.

"But before we go to her or anyone else, we need to take care of him."

[Hawkeye]

"Eh, I say we know him out and drop him somewhere. I mean he's know use to us and We don't need to wore about a two bit like him."

[Human Torch]

"Ahh man. I was hoping for a little fun."

Johnny's finger lit up and the Vulture began squacking madly and Johnny laughed as the fire went back out.

"But if we're done with him, might as well."

[Doctor Strange]

"First thing's first. Tomorrow, the streets of Manhattan will be swarming with S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. It will be quite difficult for us to move unnoticed. That's why I suggest that for the first few days, we focus on recruitment. I know of a very powerful world leader that will give us his support. Steve, I'd suggest you go see Charles Xavier. Take Clint with you. Johnny, you and your sister have cosmic contacts - speak with them. As for me..." The doctor glanced out to the nearby harbor.

"I'm taking a trip under the sea."

[Hawkeye]

"Sounds like a plan, and I will be helding to the X mansion anyway." Clint said to Doc Strange
