Once he arrived in the medical bay, Stephen set the Star-Spangled Avenger down on one of the medical beds. His trench coat was removed and hastily thrown on a nearby empty bed; of course it missed and landed on the floor. The sleeves of his buttoned-up white t-shirt were rolled up. It had been a long while since he'd done anything, well, medical.
Closing his eyes, the amulet near his throat once more opened, the light of Agamotto shining over the Captain.
"Contusion on the forehead." He spoke with his eyes still closed. "Severed tendons and muscle tissue near the left shoulder due to gunshot wound." The light disappeared as the Eye of Agamotto once more closed. Still, he continued to speak to himself, as if he was addressing a fellow doctor or a nurse. "Due to the protection spell of Agamotto, patient will survive, but surgery is required to save the left arm from paralysis."
His hands began to glow with an orange and white hue as he opened his eyes. The hands were placed on his left shoulder. The healing power of white magic flowed forth from Stephen and into the wound. The tendons of Steve's shoulder began to reattach themselves even as skin cells began to generate at a rapid rate.
In a mere moment or two, the Captain's shoulder was as good as new. It was if he had never been shot. The bruise on his forehead, however...well, Stephen would let Mr. Rogers keep that as a war trophy.

Steve's eyes slowly opened. His head felt extremely heavy, his forehead throbbing. His left shoulder was in pain, but the pain was rapidly receding. He felt as though he had just had the worst hangover of his life- which was strange, as he didn't recall EVER having had a hangover in his life- the Super Soldier Formula meant it was well nigh impossible for him to get drunk. That left only one other option; unconsciousness.
Then it all came flooding back.
He pulled himself roughly upright, grunting with effort. "Stephen...?" he asked, confused. "Where am I? What... where is Punisher?" He shook his head, clarity slowly recovering. He had somewhere to be... he needed.... Tony! He needed to be going to the New Avengers! He... he had been shot in the shoulder. With an armour piercing bullet. Twice. So why did his sholder no longer hurt?

As Steve awoke, Stephen had been preparing a cocktail of chemicals in a syringe. He turned around to face the awakening hero, the syringe with clear fluids in his hand. "Shh shh shh." He placed a hand gently on Steve's forehead, making sure to avoid the bruise there, and pushed him back to lay down. With the other hand, the hypodermic needle punctured the Captain's shoulder, the plunger injecting the chemicals into his body.
"That's a combination of morphine and some other pain dullers. It'll help you relax." He threw the syringe into the nearby red wastebasket. As the drugs would begin to take effect, Stephen took a seat next to the Captain's bed, where he unbuttoned his shirt.
"Now that you're relaxed, I'll tell you what happened. You were shot by the Punisher. Agamotto protected you a bit, but the wound was non-fatal, so it was out of his control. Still, you were bleeding bad. The tendons in your shoulder were completely severed. If I didn't get to it in time, you risked paralysis in your arm." He sighed. "Luckily, Susan, Johnny, and I got there in time to stop him from killing you. The Punisher was knocked unconscious, but your brawl alerted SHIELD. Sue turned us invisible to avoid getting caught, but they saw the Punisher on the ground. Tony personally put him in a SHIELD carrier and took him away. He'll surely be busy with him for awhile, so don't worry about meeting him. Just rest."
