Carol was a little taken back by Hank's harshness. Mimic also seemed to notice and both Carol and Mimic looked at Spider Woman to see if she had seen the same thing. Whatever was on that disk must have been really important because no one has ever talked to Carol in that tone. If circumstances were different she probably would have had something to say about it, but she realized the importance of the situation and kept her cool. Carol gave Hank a nod signifying that she understood and was sorry for interrupting.
Next Carol turned her attention to Calvin's question. He asked if she knew anything about Firestar or the other Warriors. "Sorry I don't know where Firestar or the other Warriors are."

"Hey, Carol," Tony greeted warmly. The former Avengers was one of his closest friends, although he truthfully didn't know if she felt as connected to him as he did to her. Both had been through hard times due to alcoholism, and when you met someone who was suffereng just like you...the mere thought of it made Tony's current troubles seem insignificant compared to that feeling. That's why he almost winced as Pym dismissed her rather coldly.
"As a matter of fact we were. Reed and I have been working on some details... is he coming?"
"No need to be rude, Hank," Tony admonished, only half-joking. The scientist had an attribute most others in his field shared, including, at some points, Tony himself - obsessiveness. When you found a project that deeply interested you as a scientist and a hero, it had the ability to make you irrational and cold-hearted when it came to other matters. "He said he'd be here by now...Reed's hardly ever late. You know what that means." He cast a knowing glance at Pym, aware that the scientist would realise Reed had also been overcome by a case of obsessiveness.
"SHIELD have asked me to find the remaining Warriors and bring them into protective custody; i was doing well until i got to Firestar."
Tony was taken aback. SHIELD had sent one man, alone, to deliver powerful superhumans into their hands? Firestar alone, if she implemented all of her considerable power, could wipe the face of the Earth clean! If she lost her temper...she was only one example that had made Tony realise why the Superhero Registration Act had to be passed.
"She'll most likely be with Justice," Tony replied solemnly. "And you stand no chance against both of them, Calvin. I want to back you up...bring in a task force to make sure you don't be the first casualty of this wa -- assignment."
Tony bowed his head. It felt so wrong to be conspiring and scheming against those who had, but months ago, been some of his closest compatriots. But, as the old saying went, ''what has to be done, has to be done''. If only Tony coudl convince himself that this had to be done...

"Sorry I'm late!" Reed called, ascending the marble staircase of Stark Tower with ease, his legs carrying him three steps at a time. He skidded to a halt beside the gathered heroes, panting and gasping for breath. Several files were tucked under his arm, all labelled with an irrelevant stamp.
The one thing that they all had in common?
''42''.
"Mimic, Spider-Woman, Ms Marvel," he greeted rather formally.

"Reed!" Hank greeted Reed more warmly. They had been deep in conversation about '42', and Reed at least- unlike Tony- seemed to understand just how vital it was. With the Super Human Registration Act becoming law the next day, it was VITAL that they were deep into their plans.
"We were about to discuss all this..." He paused and turned to Mimic. "I'm sorry, I don't think we can help you." This directly contradicted what Tony had said, but Hank pressed on. "YET. SHIELD has no legal jurisdiction to be after those heroes, they aren't doing anything wrong." He left rhe 'yet' unspoken but clearly hanging in the air.
"The moment they do, talk to us and I think we can put something together... right, Tony?" The meaning there at least was clear. Midnight the next day, action could be taken. "Tony, I'm assuming you have some kind of wa... of battle planning room where we can be secure?" That reminded him of how little had had been in the Tower since the disassembling. He purposely didn't say 'war'. Not yet. Admit there was a war, and you admitted that the enemy had just cause. THis isn't a war. It is the authority putting down a miniscule rebellion. he told himself firmly.

Spider-Woman looked at the assembled heroes and felt out of place. She was not one of the world's great scientific minds like Stark, Richards or Pym. She did not want to know about this disc Mimic had mentioned. Once she knew about it she would have to tell both Nick Fury, if he didn't already know, and Hydra. Right now she was just content to be a foot soldier in the battle.
"So we're not doing anything yet," she repeated Pym, "Even though as we speak Captain America is rallying more to his cause and getting better equipped and prepared. That makes sense."

Mimic leaned back in his chair 'no authority?' he thought to himself. this wasn't about bringing them in for crimes committed this was about protecting them from the public. Another thing worried him, if Firestar was nearly as powerful as she seemed, then Mimic knew he would have no chance, the question was why would Agent Hill send him after her if she knew this?
The idea of a task force seemed smart however the people in this room alone had enough power to level an entire city block, not thats what he wanted of course. He understood the reluctance as well, after all Mimic wasn't stupid he knew what Hank had meant by "when they do" it was clearly a reference to midnight tonight when the act was made law.
"OK folks, i can wait, but these kids need our help the public have got serious issues with the Warriors now, and i just hope that we can find them before something bad happens."
Mimic reached into his pocket as suddenly the mobile he had been given vibrated, "mind if i step outside got to take this call!" he took the phone out and pressed accept.
"What the hell are you doing in Stark tower?" Hill did not sound impressed "you gave me the impression you were going after Firestar" Mimic had no intention of being civil with her after learning how powerful Firestar could be.
"Don't worry about it she's as good as found come midnight Starks going to help me with a task force, I'm brining this one home safe!" mimic hoped this was true with one warrior in a coma and one getting shot during his rescue he had to turn this mission around.
"Mimic don't you dare team up, you work for the government, Calvin listen to ..." Mimic hung up the phone, turned it off, and walked back into the room.
"OK Iron man I'll take any help i can, get we need to save these kids."

Carol thought that Tony had a really good point. Both Firestar and Justice were really powerful and Mimic would definitely need some back up. Hank seemed against it, but carol had the feeling that he would be against anything that didn't have to do with Reed, Tony, and their little project. Spider-Woman also seemed to think that Hank's ideas of doing nothing was not very smart. Knowing Cap he probably already had some pretty powerful allies ready to back him up. Sitting around here would do no good, and Carol thought that they had to make the presence of the Pro-Registration forces known.
"Mimic, I don't know anything about the location of Firestar or Justice, but I would be glad to join this task force and help you locate them." Carol didn't think that the offer was much, but it was the least she could do.

Mimic turned to look at Ms Marvel "Wow that would be great, sure could use more even female balance on the team." mimic realized she may take that wrong way. "The kid may be more willing to talk to you than one of us."
Mimic sat back in his chair and thought for a while 'Pym, Spider-woman, Ms Marvel, Pete Wisdom and himself' a moment of dread passed over him 'hopefully Spider-man, the Black Cat, and Captain Britain would join in as well'.
"Well me and Wisdom have got a plan to find out her location, and we have an idea of what the rest of you could do*" Calvin was impressed what was Agent Hill thinking of with a group like this he might just be able to help the kid after all.
*Ms Marvel you might want to check our headquarters for the plan!

The Black Cat strolled into the room casually, Felicia Pounded her fist onto the swinging door then blushed slightly noticing a few people glaring at her.
"Oops. Hey guys, Cat's Home!" Felicia laughed, she entered the huddle of heroes and glared at them slightly. "I see Parker's made his appearance..."

Carol was glad that Mimic had excepted her offer. She didn't know how exactly she would help, but Carol would at least try. Firestar was very bright girl, and Carol hoped they she would be able convince her to come along without any trouble. "So when do we leave?" Carol asked as the Black Cat made a very loud entrance. "Maybe she would like to help as well," Carol said to Mimic.

Mimic looked at Ms Marvel, Spiderwoman and Black Cat, "Well ladies me and Wisdom are off to find Sally Floyd its dirty work searching the local bars she likes to hang out in." Mimic was aware of Carols past with alcohol "Carol if you want to stay her i will understand but your prescience would probably help in this case."
"Cat i understand you longer have any powers but I'm sure you would be able to get information out of anyone we find" Mimic thought quietly to himself 'dressed like that I'd tell her all my secrets.'
"And as for you Jess, well i dont think i need to say anything really do i?" Mimic always felt awkward around Spiderwoman.
Calvin looked over at Wisdom who was sitting there staring at Felicia "OK folks we know what to do lets split up me and Wisdom and Carol and Cat, whoever finds her first contact the others OK!"
Mimic was feeling pleased with himself He had arranged this whole plan himself, ironic really as he came to Stark & Pym for help.
"But before we go anywhere, Wisdom could you help me with this damn braclet?" Mimic smiled as Widom lit up his Hot-Knives.

"Oh hi there, um where just going to find someone you can help if you like, say by looking in some bars." Mimic was impressed The Sentry was huge, bigger than he'd expected, but then again when your relying on SHIELD files you learn to be surprised.
"If you find this woman...." he began handing Sentry a photo of Sally Floyd, "then get in contact with us, and we'll come a running....ouch" Mimic handed Sentry a slip of paper with his Mobile number on it.
Mimic grabbed Wisdom's arm his hot knives had burned his arm although the burn was healing. "Oi mate pay attention will you."
