Arrival of an Avenger

[Hawkeye]

Clinto Barton aka Hawkeye had just slipped past the sentinels and had just arrived at the front of the Mansion's front door. He had come on the behalf of the resistance, unfortunetly Captain America couldn't acompany him. He had hoped Multiple Man would have he would have been an asset but, he hadn't showed up yet. Clint new that what he was doing was risky. He was showing up unanounced and he figured there would be a few pro reg supporters here. Hawkeye would fight if he had to but he had only come to recruit. With a sigh He said to himslef "here we go" and rang the doorbell.

[Bishop]

"Move and I'm putting one in you!" says a voice from the side of Clint Barton. "You have about two seconds to let me know why you're sneaking around mansion grounds." Bishops voice growls as he says the words.

With the first signs of war blooming, he can't afford to let it spill over into the X-Mansion. He's already heard the reports of Captain America, the Young Avengers and others being hunted down. It won't happen here.

[Hawkeye]

With a look of frustration Clint Barton Turns to his possible assalitnte. "If I was sneaking around would I have rang the doorbell? I'm Clint Barton..Hawkeye to most. I'm here on behalf of the Anti registration resistance. By the way, I highly doubt you would have gotten a shot on me. Although it is suprising you snuck up on me, I must be a little rusty." With a bemused smile Clint continues "If you are pro registration buddy I just want to let you know I didn't come here to fight just to talk, but I have no problem putting a few arrows through your chest if it comes to that." With moves faster thought possible for just a normal man Hawkeye has a his bow drawn. "Now if you would like to continue our little chat, shall we go inside?"

[Bishop]

Bishop raises an eyebrow in bemusment at Barton. He's always been a bit of a character. Bishop had mostly known him through reputation, but he quckly sees what most people are talking about.

"Well you may have rang the doorbell, but you did go through an awful lot just to not be seen by the sentinels. I'd classify that as sneaking around. I'd say your lucky they didn't pick up the doorbell on there sensors." Bishop smiles. "But whatever."

Bishop is cautious as he pulls Hawkeye just inside the doorway. No doubt the government already knows whose with them and whose against them. Of course the X-Men's position is still a bit in the air.

"And put the bow down. I'm with you and Captain America. I won't speak for the rest of the X-Men, but I don't see this as being the best thing the government could do. Tensions are high here though. Though most of us seem to be in aggreement, we're all real edgy. Mutants haven't exactly gotten the best treatment when the government decides to just make up laws. So tread carefully."

Bishop takes a look into his pistol before placing it into its holster and patting down his jacket."As for the showdown Hawkeye...will get back to that." He smiles walking into the mansion.

[Hawkeye]

With a smile hawkeye replaces his bow and arrow. "Its good to know your with us Bishop. I'd like to meet with ALL the x men if thats possible." Hawkeye glances around the mansion. "Nice place you got here."

[moonknight]

Moon Knight had been watching from cover while Hawkeye talked. He didn't trust Bishop, his relationship with the O*N*E* was, at the least, disturbing. He alsoo didn't trust Hawkeye's social skills. When the two of them started heading for the mansion, Moon knight came out of cover and slipped in behind Hawkeye.
"Nice place you got here."
"Yes, it is." Moon Knight agreed

[Bishop]

'What the hell?" Bishop says rolling to his side and withdrawing his gun. It doesn't take but a moment for the mans face to click in his mind--Moonknight. Another Avenger who he knew more by word of mouth. Altough in the case of Moonknight, a lot less was unknown.

"Alright, what's this about?" he says putting his gun to his side and looking at Hawkeye none to pleased.

"I'm well aware the Sentinels outside aren't exactly pleasant under the circumstances, but is there a need for that guy to drop outta hell like that? You're lucky I wasn't Wolverine."

[Hawkeye]

Clint turned and faced moonknight. He looked like the same as ever. "hmm so someone decided to come along. Well good to see you. Shall we proceed now, and for christ sakes will you stop drawing you guns on everyone Bishop?"

[moonknight]

"Sorry about that Bishop," Moon Knight said, trying not to burst into laughter. I love doing that, he thought to himself.
"Speaking of Wolverine, I heard he was tracking Nitro. How's is that going? I'd like a swing at that exploding bastard myself."

[Bishop]

Bishop didn't smile at Moonknights words. His mind sat on just how serious a time this was-games should be left for the children.

of course that brought back in bishop the reminder that the children of Stamford wouldn't be playing anymore games.

"We haven't gotten any word from Wolverine in a while." Bishop said now staring at his glowing fist. " He tends to just go off when he feels the need to. But frankly, I'd love to get my hands on Nitro. I thought about putting on in him. then I figured if I ever got the chance, I'd just beat him so bad, he'd wish Wolverine had gotten to him first."

Bishop puts his pistol away, giving a slight smile to Hawkeye. The tension was high around the x-mansion-and with Bishops stance on the O*N*E* program, the growing number of the 198 who are ready to erupt, and now a brewing Civil War, Bishop felt like he could snap at any moment. So he lets the smile slide, a small effort to ease the tension within him.

"Come on. We've already gone over where we stand. But I can't help but feel a divide between us. We don't feel at all united. Not the way we need to be. I take it the Avengers haven't faired to well either considering Captain American's stance and Ironman's."

Bishop presses a red button along a wooden wall and begins to speak into it. " X-Men, we've got company. Anybody still around the mansion head down to the war room.

[Hawkeye]

With a look at throughly bemused looking moon knight and overly stressed and tired bishop, Hawkeye began to follow Bishop toward the war room. "I hope we can get most of the x men to agree with us" He thought to himself. "The x men have just as many if not more reources than what we have"

[Human Torch]

A white light engulfed the room, and little was heard. Johnny thought he heard a few things about freezing and shooting and whatnot, but almost immediately his sight and hearing was returned. When he could mak out the figures in the room, he saw Clint, Bishop, obviously the one with the gun, and for some reason Moonknight. He smiled as the Surfer lifted his board up and Sue just now gained her bearings.

"So guys, how's it goin?"

[Hawkeye]

"Damn, torch nice of you to drop in, I see you brought company." Clint said as he looked over at the Surfer and to Sue. "I see the Silver Surfer has decided to aid us. As well as ole Bishop here." Clint then speaking to Sue "Wow, your even prettier in person, would you be kind enough to walk with a fine man such as myself?" Hawkeye said half kidding half being serious.

[silversurfer]

A large ringing beep went off from the side of the Surfer. The group turned and looked at him as his head sunk and he frowned.

"I'm sorry to have failed you all. But I must go. Annihulus is attacking again, and that's where my services are needed most. I'm sorry, and if I can return., I will."

And with that the Surfer was gone.

[Human Torch]

Johnny looked like he had been slapped aross the face.

"Great. I thought this was his destiny."

He saw out of the corner of his eye Hawkeye making a move on Sue. Johnny flew over to Clint with a ball of fire in his hand.

"Back off."

He waited a few seconds and calmed down.

"C'mon. Let's find the other guys."
