OOC: The account name for Cyclops is already taken. Can that be deleted so that I can register under it or should I just either do Scott Summers or Cyclops2 or sumtin.
Name: Scott Summers
Alias: Cyclops
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Side: Against the SHRA
Appearance:
Cyclops is well tonned physically. Though he is not overly muscular he has the body of an Olympic level athlete, trained with hours a day in the Danger Room and a rigorus work out regiment.
Height 6'3"
Weight 175 lbs
Eye Colour Brown (when de-powered) / Red (when powered)
Hair Colour Brown
Mutation/Powers:
(Taken from another bio I've done in another game)
Cyclops takes in energy from the ambient environment around him, such as sunlight and electricity, and his body metabolizes it and then stores it. This energy is then sent via a pisonic field that surrounds his mind, to another dimension where Einsteinium theories of relativity do not hold sway. The energy is then returned much stronger in the form of a ruby red concussive heatless blast, via his eyes which act as gateways to this dimension.
Because Cyclops' body is in tune with this dimension and its energy, the concussive force has no affect on him, thus can be controlled merely by placing his organic material in front of the force. Thus when he closes his eyes, his eyelids are enough to stop the blast which at full strength can "tip over a filled 5,000 gallon tank at a distance of 20 feet, or puncture a 1-inch carbon-steel plate at a distance of 2 feet." Similarly his blasts do not affect his brother Alex Summers.
Due to an accident during early childhood which lead to a head injury, Cyclops has lost the mental ability to regulate and control the blasts. Because of this the only way to keep this force under check is with the use of specially calibrated Ruby Quartz when used in glasses, or as a visor, is able to block the blasts much like his own genetic material does.
The energy channeled from the other dimension through his eyes is practically infinite, however the psonic field that surrounds his brain allowing the channeling process to take place, begins to wear out after about fifteen minutes of constant usage, thus robbing Cyclops of access to the energy. The psonic field is able to naturally recharge in about another fifteen minutes, to an extent where the blasts return to full power.
History/Background:
Scott Summers was born in Alaska. He and his younger brother Alex were orphaned at an early age when during a flight with their family a Shi’ar space ship appeared above their small plane. The Shi'ar, wanting to hide all evidence that they had been there, seemingly destroyed the plane but not before their parents made Scott and Alex parachute to safety. During the landing Scott his his head, causing minor brain damage to the area of his brain that controlled his yet undeveloped mutant powers. This is why he requires ruby quartz visors and glasses to control his abilities as opposed to being able to control them on his own.
The Summers brothers were seperated in orphanages, and Scott moved around for a few years, never finding a family willing to adopt him. Eventually he was discovered by Charles Xavier who took him in and helped Scott learn about his mutant power and developed the ruby quartz visor to help him control his powerful optic blasts. In time Scott became Xavier's first X-Man, and then the leader of the X-Men the team of mutants that Xavier hoped would help to bridge the gap between humanity and mutants by standing up for the protection of both groups.
Scott fell in love and eventually married fellow teammate Jean Grey, the telepathic girl who had been a special pupil of Xavier's. Jean dead twice, the first time after being possessed by the inter-stellar entity known as the Phoenix. The first time Scott remarried a clone of Jean named Madalyne Pryor. When Jean reappeared, having not acutally died but been trapped at the bottom of the sea to be discovered by the Fantastic Four, the pair were married. The marriage lasted until Scott threatened it by having a telepathic affair with former enemy and then fellow X-Men Emma Frost. The affair had grown out of therapy that Scott was undergoing to deal with his own death and then resurection following a fight with Apocalypse. Before Jean and Scott could settle the rift between them she died once again, though not before telepathically nuding Scott toward Emma in hopes of him finding happiness with her.
Scott was the field leader of the group of heros who confronted the House of M after Quicksilver convinced his sister the Scarlet Witch to create a world where mutants were the dominant species on Earth. He had to oversee the tramuatic period of the school following the depowering of most of the world's mutants, including the majority of the student body at the Xavier Institute and the disappearance of his father figure and the X-Men's founder Charles Xavier.
Life however did not slow down for Scott Summers. The X-Men then fought both Apocalypse, and then a new threat which ended up killing Banshee. That new threat turned out to be Vulcan who was another brother of Scott and Alex who had trained to be an X-Man but had been thought dead by Xavier who had wipped all memory of him from Scott's memory. Xavier finally arrived to try to save the X-Men from Vulcan. It was however too late to repair the relationship between him and Scott who firmly told Xavier to leave the mansion as the Professor was no longer a mutant and his betrayl had driven such a wedge between the pair.
Sample Post:
The Blackbird hovered over the ground for a moment before touching down, its cloaking technology engaged shielding it from the watchful eyes of SHIELD's technology and Iron Man's own watchful eyes. Scott Summers switched off the engines and unbuckled his safety harness before standing.
"Alright people we're here to listen. I don't want to get involved in a war between Iron Man and Captain America unless we have to," he said as he opened the jet's hatch.
He was the first out, his eyes scanning the area for evidence of some sort of trick. Not that he distrusted Captain America, if anything Steve Rogers had proven himself time and time again to be a friend to mutants, but then again so had Tony Stark as Iron Man. The current situation was one that bred distrust and fear, and a tactical thinker like Cyclops was not about to enter into any situation without at least two plans for when everything went to Hell. There was no evidence of a set up. He glanced behind him and nodded, heading down the ramp.
Walking towards Captain America he extended his hand, offering a handshake. "Well we made it, and there's no way we were followed. So what is going on? Are you actually going up against the government and Iron Man?"
