The first Press Conference issued by Iron Man. This was issued via satellite in New York.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, people of America, I come to you with a heavy heart.
"A battle has occured between seveal super-powers on the rooftops of New York. Between Frank Castle, also known as the Punisher and several outlaw powers who are currently exisiting outside of our legal limits.
"During the battle, several high explosive devices, scattered seemingly at random, throughout the city. Even now, our firefighters fight to keep the blazes under control, and I have personally, along with several other powers who are allied with the government, taken time out of our search for Captain America to help out.
"It is times like these that we need to think back to the reason this started. Stamford was a horrible accident, and even now, the death count in New York is rising. It is unknown whether this act of what can only be called terrorism was enacted by Frank Castle or another Super, but what we can be sure of is that this truly is an atrocity.
"I had hoped that Captain America, a man who I had once counted as a friend of mine, and I hope I still can, would have the sense to keep civilians out of this. Yet it would appear as if this fight originated as a personal vendetta between himself and Frank Castle.
"There is but one silver lining to this, as thin as that may be. While Captain America and his band of outlaws may have escaped, Frank Castle was detained, and is now being held for interrogation.
"I assure you as well, that once this is under control, the group of powers I have and can trust will be searching for Captain America. I can only hope that he can be found, and brought to his senses, along with the rest of his group.
"Thank you."

Hawkeye was watching in the main room of resistance HQ. "Heh, I'll give him one thing, he sure can talk to the press." Clint was sickned by what the punisher did but, he couldn't believe that Tony would point a finger at Cap or the resistance. He knew full well that there was noway that they had done it. Hawkeye supposed it was something he was using to turn the public even further against them. "I wonder if the others have seen this. Us being a BAND of OUTLAWS and all we should rob a bank" Clint thought sacastically.

There is a slight delay over the satellite connection between the reporter's question and Iron Man's answer.
"We are not sure yet, but we believe it to have been Frank Castle. I do not believe that Captain America would have planted those bombs, but I also didn't believe he would turn from his country and the law like this..."

"Anderson Cooper, CNN. Umm, as a part of my show, I'd love to set up an interview. For the time being, what...what was the location of where Castle was found? Also, have there been any leads on any resistance members?"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Wow... Tony has really changed a lot since I knew him. And what kind of question was that? That Cooper has a bit of an ego," Johnny said as he shook his head.
He opened the beer that he was going to save and decided to down it then.

((OOC: Good ole Anderson...gotta love the Mole))
"Currently, I am far too busy with the restoration project to give a full interview to one show, Mr. Cooper. Castle was found on a roof top on the corner of The connection goes fuzzy and once again, more fuzz. We are currently following several leads concerning Captain America and his band, and will be continuing on them full-throttle soon."

"Leo Bloom, ABC news. If you find Captain America, are you going to try to reason with him first, or are you just going to capture him as soon as you find him?"

"I gotta give him credit, Tony's a great politician. Knows exactly what to say and what not. Also knows when to create static in the interview so not to give anything away. I doubt they got any leads though. They'd have to find Fury to find us."

"Our primary objective at this moment is the clean-up of Manhattan, but when we find Captain America, we will attempt to reason with him. However, he is breaking the law, and if needs be, will be arrested on accounts of being an Unregistered Super Power"

"Ben Urich, Daily Bugle!" the unkempt reporter barked from amongst the crowd. "Just how far will you go to enforce the registration act?" * * * Peter Parker bows his head at the back of the throng of press as the questions continue. He hadn't wanted it to come to this, but everyone else had seeemd to think it was inevitable. Suspicions niggled at the back of his mind, whispering that Tony was plotting something, that he was just using Spider-Man...but Peter just couldn't believe them. Yet, strangely, he couldn't believe that Captain America would become a rogue fugitive and plant bombs, either. With a sigh, he turned away.

He was disgusted. After healing the Captain, Stephen had taken a seat in the recreation room with the rest of the Anti-Registration Forces. His buttoned white t-shirt was now unbuttoned, the sleeves still rolled up, with a white undershirt revealed underneath. His hand was gently rubbing his goatee as he read the reporter. He looked as if he was thinking with a great calm as he always did. Stephen Strange didn't let his anger control him and he didn't let his anger show, even though Tony's words were tearing him up inside.

Cap stood, stony-faced, still a little weak from his concussion, watching the Press Conference. Though his face was impassive, he felt as though he were being torn apart inside. He and Tony had been like BROTHERS. How could... how could Tony do this to him...?
But he forced himself to stand and watch, forced himself to listen... there was a chance something important could bw given away. He turned to look at the other anti-registration heroes grimly. "I was right before." he said hoarsely. "I need to confront him." Back to the plan then- he, Logan and Cage had to confront the others.
He gestured at the screen. "They'll probably have sent out heroes to search for us. Stephen, if you can get Logan, Cage and I inside the tower.... we'll be there when Tony gets back."
